Scale-Master Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 (edited) Another “pre-internet” build. Obviously it is not the original correct color. I bought a few of these on sale, had some leftover touch-up paint (is there really such a thing) from my Camaro. What to do with a model of a one of a kind car when you have multiples? I’ll do models in color combos I’d never do on real cars... Edited November 22, 2011 by Scale-Master
Harry P. Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 Not to be a nit-picker... But seeing as how that car came out in 1998, your model can hardly be called a "pre-internet" build. Maybe before you got online, but not before the internet had already been up and running for years.
Scale-Master Posted November 22, 2011 Author Posted November 22, 2011 You are correct. That's why I used qutoes to indicate "Pre-To-Me-Being-Online". We all know Al Gore invented it back in the 60's...

crazyjim Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 Nice looking car. I've never heard of a Copperhead (other than the snake). Looks wild with the yellow and blue and so SHINY :)
crazyjim Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 Found several on ebay but their all snap-tite kits. I've never built a snap-tite. I guess there'd be no engine or much chassis detail?
Scale-Master Posted November 22, 2011 Author Posted November 22, 2011 This is the ERTL Snap-Fast Plus kit. There is molded in chassis detail, I hand painted this one's. No engine, but it builds up nice. Except for opening some of the louvers & vents, and adding the seat belts, this is the way it goes together out of the box.
Chuck Most Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 I think this is the first time I've ever seen this kit built. Quite familiar with those wheels, however.
57peppershaker Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 Nice build. How different can a car look, just by changing the colour. Got a couple of these, just to have the cool wheels. Planning one thats satin black, kinda modern rat rod look.

He he heh .......... I bet ya didn't know I own the Dulles North Toll road too............ Hey great job on the model. Both Chrysler and General Motors were known to have re- painted cars to suit two different show venues . Ed Shaver
Peter Lombardo Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 That is a great color combination. It really jumps. I love the wheels and tires on that kit, I also like how you detailed the wheels with the paint combination...great looking "snap" kit. You really did it justice. I always thought Chrysler should have built that car.....Vipers little brother. It would have been an affordable quick little sports roadster with a V6 and lightweight. Too bad.
