Bruce Poage Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Building '66 Buick Wildcat strictly out of box. The motor is supposedly 401 CI. Would the motor color have been a blueish-green? If so how would you suggest I replicate this color? Thanks and enjoy this day of thanks.
astroracer Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 Buick used a blue/breen color. Here is a link to a rattle can. Kind of spendy though. http://www.classicbuicks.com/Engine_spray_paints.html You may try asking at your local auto parts. I am sure someone in your area will have something similar. Check for a local Buick Club Chapter also. Mark
Edsel-Dan Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 (edited) The pamphlet I bought a few years ago states the 65-74 all engine were Red. 29-38 Dark Blue-Green 39-40 Charcoal Gray 41-52 Blue-Green-Gray 53-57 Turquoise 58 Powder Blue 59-64 Green 75-82 Bright Blue. 83+ black. Is that info wrong?? Edited November 28, 2011 by Edsel-Dan
