GTMust Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 John..... I'm curious........ What do you do with your finished models? Keep them under glass in your home? Donate or loan them to a museum... or what? Just being "nosey"...! Tony
vaughn Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 Outstanding John. Is that the same type medical tape or bandage that you have used in other applications ? Header wraps, hood straps etc.

That's a great feeling isn't it John? The 3 snap kits I built for my grandbratz made me feel a greater sense of accomplishment than anything I've built for myself.

Dr. Cranky Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 I think everyone of your builds is museum worthy, which is why I keep playing to Lotto. If I strike it rich one day, I'd like to have a model car museum. One can only dream, right? Great work, John. Mind-blowing indeed.
John Teresi Posted January 6, 2012 Author Posted January 6, 2012 Hello everyone........thank you all for the kind comments........you are all probably tired at looking at this build.......well I put the last few parts on today........tonneau fastners........and I finished attaching the padding around the engine bay........I finished the hideaway tray under neath the rear seat......and I made some badges for the front grill.......I need to wipe the model down and take some finished pictures.......I will post finished pictures monday......thanks for looking.
Nitrozilla Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Subject notwithstanding, from a pure model construction standpoint, this is your best work EVER John. I would love to feel how you're feeling right about now, but I'll settle for just lookin' at it with my arms crossed and nodding with a huge ol' grin.
Peter Lombardo Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 .you are all probably tired at looking at this build... (in a word, NO, I am not tired of looking it.) John, just beautiful workmanship, the chrome work alone is worth the price of admission.......it is simply a stunning build up of a worthy subject. I would keep writing, but I will just start repeating myself, great job.
Peter Lombardo Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 You know, the more I think about this, the more I am impressed with the speed in which this great build came together. Builds of this caliber usually take months, many months, yet this is a mere few weeks.........most impressive.
W-409 Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 you are all probably tired at looking at this build....... There's no way that someone would be tired at looking this- it's simply amazing build, and it's of course nice to see finished product, but somehow I'm going to miss this WIP thread and all of these great updates.. Maybe I must bookmark this thread... Thanks for sharing these amazing builds, can't wait to see what you're building next.
Dave42 Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 (edited) Well, your being one of the best goes without saying. I also like your choice of subjects, and the pics and explanations on materials and tools, etc. The finish on everyhting is top notch, but to me the realistic finish on the engine pieces is the simply amazing. Just glad I found this place, and am around at the right time to see your work. Thanks for sharing. Edited January 7, 2012 by Dave42
vaughn Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 Most incredible John, just most incredible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
