stulee11 Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 daaaaaamn you really are going to town on her lol .. i am really loving watching this one come together . you do some outstanding work !!!!
sjordan2 Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 Good for you for building a fan. I"m amazed the kit doesn't include it. The B for the door is cool, but it really needs to fit within a debossed oval.
John Teresi Posted December 6, 2011 Author Posted December 6, 2011 Hello......I got the steering wheel wrapped.......I will work on the map light`s and driil some plumbing holes tomorrow......thank`s for looking.
Dr. Cranky Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 The friction shocks were adjustable... they had a series of steel and friction disks alternating. I think the shock could be adjusted by loosening or tightening the tension on the disks. Here is a typical friction shock (this is on a Pocher model): On the real car they would have been painted chassis color, but I left the metal parts unpainted because I think it looks cool. Inaccurate... but cool! Harry, is this your model? If it is, I'd like to see more pictures of it. Come on, buddy, you are holding back on the eye candy. You are violatin' rule number 57! THOU SHALL SHARE THE EYE CANDY! He is sick with Styrene Addiction, which is why he's my kind of SICK!
John Teresi Posted December 7, 2011 Author Posted December 7, 2011 Hello......I started detailing the engine......wrapped the leaf-springs.......I made some spark plug end`s......thank`s for looking.

Harry P. Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Harry, is this your model? If it is, I'd like to see more pictures of it. Come on, buddy, you are holding back on the eye candy. You are violatin' rule number 57! THOU SHALL SHARE THE EYE CANDY! He is sick with Styrene Addiction, which is why he's my kind of SICK! Virgil, you have to pay closer attention! I posted a whole WIP on that model in the Big Boyz section a loooong time ago.
Mooneyzs Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 John.... you are out doing yourself on all of these details man. it is sure looking great so far. Very nice bud.
Nitrozilla Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Genuinely awe inspiring John. What a pleasure to tune in and watch the magic happen.
John Teresi Posted December 8, 2011 Author Posted December 8, 2011 (edited) Hello.......I made a couple of 6 volt batteries`s today......thank`s for looking. Edited December 8, 2011 by John Teresi
Foxer Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 (edited) We've been talking here recently about painting things never seen on a model ... so Mr John builds a pair of drop dead gorgeous batteries with WOOD handles and drops them in a hole to be covered by planks! HA! ... we all KNOW they are there! Edited December 8, 2011 by Foxer
Harry P. Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Impressive work on those batteries... but since they'll never be seen, I have to ask... why??? I know, I know. Because you know they're there. But I guess I don't see the point of putting that much work into something that will never be seen. But hey... it's your model, build it your way!

Uhhh...sometimes they need to be taken out or recharged. But if he starts putting in working cams, pistons, diff, brakes, etc. I'll know he's REALLY sick. Like some Pocher modelers I could name.
