surfjunke Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 (edited) This started out as a muscle Machines die cast. After taking the car apart, The mounting posts inside the body were removed & the mounting frame on the fenders was also removed. The engine was relegated to the parts bin & I made a new hood from Evergreen sheet & strip. The interior tub & the other items for the interior are also made from Evergreen. The resin seats were made by a friend from masters I made. The chassis pan & rear suspension are more Evergreen plastic & brass tubing. The tires are from the die cast. The aluminum wheels are from my parts bin, I think they were from Renaissance. The telescoping brass tubing for the rear rims will fit the wide rear tires & fit under the fenders. One pair of the aluminum wheels fit snugly in the brass rims. The parts are now ready for primer. Edited December 3, 2011 by surfjunke
surfjunke Posted December 6, 2011 Author Posted December 6, 2011 (edited) The chassis pan/rear suspension is painted. The pan is Tamiya flat black & the suspension is done in Alclad. The wheels are almost ready. The brass rims have their Alclad. The wheel backs have been painted flat black. They look OK like that, but I think they need the Tameo etched disc brakes & calipers. The parts have been on back order for awhile. The two piece wheel centers came from the parts bin. I know they are four lug, but that is all I have. The interior is finished & ready for the body. The paint used was Tamiya except for the silver which is Vellajo. The body & fenders have been painted, detail washed & were cleared last night. After curing I will color sand where needed & polish. Should have pics in a few days. Edited December 6, 2011 by surfjunke

Deathgoblin Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 1/64 is Hot Wheels/Matchbox size. Maybe about 2 inches long at the most?
surfjunke Posted December 8, 2011 Author Posted December 8, 2011 The Muscle Machines are a little bigger than the Hot Wheels. The sedan is 2-3/4" long. The body parts are finally finished. There was some spots that needed color sanding & polishing. The turned plastic headlights also got painted. Well, that's it for now. The car is on the back burner as I am still waiting for those back ordered parts. As soon as they arrive, I will finish this.
surfjunke Posted April 3, 2012 Author Posted April 3, 2012 I'm back! Sorry it took sooo long. The back ordered etched parts finally arrived. The discs are from anolder Provence Moulage kit & the clipers are from Tameo. The center nut is from Scale Hardware. Now I am ready for the final assembly. The interior wass glued to the inner body as well as the etched grill. Followed by the chassis pan & wheels. The windows were cut from sheet acetate & attached with 5 minute Epoxy. The headlights received their Renaisance lenses & glued to the grill shell. The final touch was the rear plate & she is done! The finished pics are in the under glass section.
