BOSWELL891 Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 I getting ready to start building the modelking Henry J gasser and i was wondering if this kit went together very well, especially the hinged doors, i think i heard somewhere there was a lot of fit issues with somethings. Any input anyone?
Chuck Most Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 Doors aren't too bad- it's the flip front end that can be a bit fiddly. Each fender is two pieces (upper and lower) the stock clamshell hood is separate, and all five pieces fit together to form the flip front. It isn't anything too hard to deal with, just gets a little tedious during the process.
BOSWELL891 Posted December 7, 2011 Author Posted December 7, 2011 Alright thanks. I noticed the separate finder thing its kinda odd to me
Greg Pugh Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 Hop on ebay, I've seen resin clips that are all one piece and corrected on there from time to time. They look like they're well worth it. I can't remember who makes them though.
weasel Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 i 'molded' mine to look like a 1piece fibreglass frontend... oh, and it's yella now with the hood 'slot' narrowed...
