'08SEAL Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 This is the 5-Window I made like 4 weeks ago. It has a 5.0. (Who like my camo bedspread?) I know the rear wheel looks a litlle ovaly but its not...
Dr. Cranky Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 The yellow really works on this model and the decal flames are perfect for the color. The pictures are a little blurry so they detract from our being able to enjoy more of the details. Shoot your models against a white sweep which you can easily make with white paper or cheap thin poster board. Keep sharing the eye candy with us.

Jon Cole Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 I use my moms cell phone... Back up. Add light. If needed, crop photo.
W-409 Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 I think, it's possible to take pretty good quality pictures with cell phone too. John says it all, and I've tried this too: Use white poster when you take pictures, as a background. And you need good light. Don't take pics too close, otherwise you end up with those pictures on the top. Take pictures from longer distance, and then maybe that cropping. I can't explain it in english, but maybe someone else can explain it better....
heatride Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Nice ! Working on the same kit ,actually I have been out of the Hobby for 30 years . Talked to Donn Yost , been watching Donn's & Dr. Cranky's videos . My first post on the forums .
sjordan2 Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 (edited) Cropping is simply going into a full image and taking a smaller detail from it, as shown below. You're just reframing the image. On a Mac, it's an easy process of hitting command/3, press down the mouse and draw your cursor across the part you want to crop and highlight it, then release the cursor to make the screen shot, which in my case appears as a file on my desktop. Then you post it to your image service. Much the same process is used at this free site (there are others, some may be better) or you may already have an image editing tool on your computer. At this site, you just pull on the corners of the box to locate the area you want to crop. http://www.picresize.com/ ORIGINAL PHOTO: CROPPED PHOTO: This means: • If you get the cell camera further away from the model, the sharper the car will be. (Be sure to keep the camera phone steady. I brace my arm on a box or a chair.) • After you've downloaded your image to your computer, just crop in tighter on the car.
