hotrod59f100 Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 I bought a resin box style side bed for my lil red express truck from evil bay . I went through the proper cleaning then tried to do some filling with my body filler but the filler would not dry. I sanded it back down and tried to prime it first but the paint won't cure. Any ideas ? The bed was a little softer the any other resin I've felt with . AnY help will be appreiated . Thanks

Keef Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Definatly couldn't be that seller. I've bought MANY hoods from her and have had NO issues at all. yeah i was gonna say ive probably spent close to $500 with her in the past year and other than 1 paypal dispute i havent had nay issues with receiving or quality
Casey Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 If the part is still soft and has not hardened, it's defective and you should ask for a refund or replacement. I don't know which filler you are using, so I can't guess as to why that's not curing, either. It might be too late for you, but stick with the Modelhaus for your '72-ish Dodge pickup bed needs.
James2 Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Yes it could be the seller's resin, ask her to replace it. If she is a good one she will. See link below. http://www.modelcars...showtopic=50672
hotrod59f100 Posted December 9, 2011 Author Posted December 9, 2011 I'll have to look when I get home but it did have a lot of soft spots. The tail gate was a nice white resin .that came out perfect
hotrod59f100 Posted December 9, 2011 Author Posted December 9, 2011 I think with shipping I paid 13.00 or something like that.
mikemodeler Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 The two I bought from The Modelhaus were as perfect as one would expect from Don! Very reasonably priced and it looks great on the mockup. If you can't get any help from the person you bought it from and still want one, contact The Modelhaus and you will be happy.
hotrod59f100 Posted December 21, 2011 Author Posted December 21, 2011 Has any one tried to run a thin coat of super glue over the bad spots?I have nothing to loose so I'm tring it. . I did some small spots first then I rana thin coat over the sides . So far no spots returned and my bondos is drying on it this time. Do any of you think it will work?
