John Pol Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 Doesn`t Alter State or Speed City make them. John Pol
Guest Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 Terry, I think there is one similar to that in the AMT '64 Impla. I can check and make sure, but I know I have seen a timing chain cover like that in my parts box.
LoneWolf15 Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 Terry , AMT 1937 Chevy , I'm almost positive ! At work , will check when I get home ! Not to be a killjoy ... You commented on the fussiness of this particular forum's "rules " . You would be better served to use either the Cragars from the AMT 1937 Chevy or the ' 65 El Camino kit . They have the Cragar logo on the cap , the MRC mags do not ! Check your photo , the logo is quite visible !
Terry Sumner Posted December 14, 2011 Author Posted December 14, 2011 Thanks John, Roger and Donn! Donn...the SLM is after doing things the correct way..or at least as correct as possible....true. But I suppose I could get away with such a small transgression as missing the Cragar script...mainly because I have them already but don't have either of those 2 kits ya mentioned! )
LoneWolf15 Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Yer gonna get a beat down , yer gonna get a beat down ! Lol ! I'll check for you on that timing cover , looks very familiar to me ! The AMT '39 / 40 sedan also has the Cragar mags if that helps !
Terry Sumner Posted December 14, 2011 Author Posted December 14, 2011 John...just checked AS and Speed City...neither has it.... ( Donn...6-2...260...I can handle 'em! LOL
Terry Sumner Posted December 14, 2011 Author Posted December 14, 2011 Donn...thought I was in luck...I have an AMT 40 Sedan Delivery kit. But alas, that kit has Keystone Kustomags in it....
Mike Kucaba Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Terry, your talented enough to scratch that.Use some ribbed evergreen, punch out a round disc from styrene and steal the water pump ears from some other FC. When done cast several and you'll have a lifetime supply.
Rob Hall Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Neat how that cover has 'CHEVROLET' spelled out on it...don't think I've seen one like that.
LoneWolf15 Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 John...just checked AS and Speed City...neither has it.... ( Donn...6-2...260...I can handle 'em! LOL But they're so tough on the Internet ..... Lol! Nope , only the sedan has them ! Such beautiful casted mags too , shame that no one ever offered these up ! Come to think of it , brain storm ! I think I'll contact our boy at MAD , see what he thinks ! If I don't get back to you tonight , then definitely tomorrow morning on that cover !

Shape is off, need to make the fins even smaller, etc. But learned a lot making this first attempt. Gonna try another! Funny though...it looks better in person...probably because this pic is 3 times actual size? Thanks for the vote of confidence! Hosted on Fotki Edited December 14, 2011 by Terry Sumner
timc Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Terry,If you are lokking for Cragar S/S mags with the name on the center cap,the AMT 66 nova has them in it.It's got to be the stock kit,the pro-street does not have them.I'm not sure about the Boyd's edition. The ones in the nova have the best detail that I have seen so far.It will be the one with the red car on box.Hope this helps you out, bigtim.
VW Dave Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Terry - I have the timing cover and Cragars from the AMT '37 coupe, still on the trees.....and you, sir, have a PM.
