Very cool, I go for the crazy ideas that require a huge emagination and huge ammounts of bodywork. I really like the concept. The color scheme is very "Flash Gordon" or "Thunderbirds". It reminds me of a picture I was going to do in an art class. The teacher gave us a list of things we couldn't draw in that class, in that list were hot rods, space ships, and pin up girls. I was a bit bent out of shape and said I was going to do a poster size picture of 2 spaceship hot rods (like the ZZ Top Afterburner) drag racing, flagged by a pin up in a skin tight space suit. Unfortunately I never got the chance to do the drawing. It would make for a cool diorama.

Looks terrific but now I keep hearing "Ballad of the Green Beret" in my head.

Thanks Jim!

Yeah, now that you mention it, I'm hearing that song again too... B)

FINALLY GOT IT IN!!!

It has been a challenge, I finally figured out how to install the Interior!

DSCN4272M.jpg

The Interior had to be Sectioned and Narrowed to fit the Body & Bubbbletop.

I first, glued the sides with G-S Hypo Cement, (Jewelers Glue).

It doesnt attack the paint & it dries fast.

Then I put strapping tape on the backsides of the sides. The tape is sticky enough to to hold the floor board in place. I also glued it in place.

Really Glad to have the Interior in place!

FILL- IN The MISTAKES!!!

After I got the Interior in place, I noticed that there were some gaps...

DSCN4276M.jpg

I used a thick White Glue, Aleene's Tacky Glue, to fill the spaces around the rear armrests, and a couple other places.

Clean up is easy, a damp Q-tip or tooth pick, will make a nice clean line.

After the glue dries, Paint It!

I use this technique a lot during the finishing of a model, it covers many problem areas for me.

Awesome project! I just now found it and looking through the pages.

I plan a similar thing with the '58 Ford Thunderbird bubble top kit. How are you handling the bottom of this vehicle?

Mirror was okay and Starfire is even better.....but (in my twisted mind) "Pegasus" tickles my fancy.
