Greg Pugh Posted September 3, 2012 Author Posted September 3, 2012 The rolling assembly is a wrap! She's on all fours!
pharr7226 Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Very nice work on the frame. This is a nice tutorial on how to pinch the rear frame rails and make room for those fat tires. You have my attention sir.
RatRodMarc Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Im liking were this one is going nice work
Guest Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Looks cool Greg! Can't wait to see how you finish it up. I've always wanted to put a stock body on the Vetagin chassis, but never have gotten around to it. Don't make the mistake I did recently and make sure you also place your driveshaft in during your mock up. It's no fun having to hack up/repair/re-primer/repaint a floor pan during final assembly.
Greg Pugh Posted September 4, 2012 Author Posted September 4, 2012 Thanks guys! Thanks Roger, I've been down the road before too.

Guest Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 I think an injected six cylinder with a header would be really cool!
zaina Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 not a corvette fan, but this thing is boss! great work so far.
GoatGuy Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 Great build so far. What tires/wheels are they?
Greg Pugh Posted October 8, 2012 Author Posted October 8, 2012 I believe they are off of a Dubs diecast.
Greg Pugh Posted October 8, 2012 Author Posted October 8, 2012 I started working on the motor today. I decided to go with an injected Chevy Six. I had some cleaning up to do on the original kit-supplied piece though. What I started with Some trimming done And a little more trimming
Greg Pugh Posted October 8, 2012 Author Posted October 8, 2012 Now I had to deal with the huge hole in the side of my block and I needed to produce some cylinder head detail. I also had to build up the motor mount a little bit as I lost some of it when I was trimming. You can see where I made my marks for spark plugs. Here I added some sheet styrene cut into short strips: Then I added some half-round: Then I was able to cover the rest of the hole with the side cover I scratched out of styrene sheet. It will be permanently attached after all painting is done.
Ace-Garageguy Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 Still love what you're doing. The stance, chassis work and engine mods all look great. I'm surprised at how well the directional swooped wheel spokes work on this build. I don't really like them usually, but they're absolutely perfect here.
vwrabbit Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 Love the look! Gives me inspiration w/my early Vettes. Tim
