I’ve built models for a longtime. Both of my daughters are model builders also. Now my wife has started to build! She was at the mall in Columbia, Maryland a few months ago when she spotted this Mazda Miata in the parking garage. She came home telling me about this little car. She had taken photos and wanted to know if they made a model of this car. We found the model made by Tamiya and we purchased it.

My wife found out that the guy who owned this car worked at the mall. She wanted to find out the story behind this car.

She purchased this model. She didn't realize it was right hand drive. She purchased another that was left hand drive on Ebay. So now she is building two models, one for herself and one to give to the owner.

Here she is beginning to work on her Miata.

Guys, I hope you will encourage her as she builds these two models!

I think it's pretty cool that my whole family is building models!!

More photos to come...

I think it's a very good thing that all the female's in your family build.

I like to see what the ladie's build in this hobby.

My Granddaughter build's but she's a slow builder.

I clicked the follow button on this one.

This is for your wife.Stay with it and please keep us posted on the progress as you build it.

This is the one that my Granddaughter built at age 13. All I did was put the light's,bumper's and decal's on it.

She listen to everything I told her and it came out very nice and clean.

She did a great paint job on it. I just put this on here because it's a ladie's post.

I was looking one day at a japanesse lady building a gt40 with her husband

and it showed me that girls can kick bud in model building too.

I have a 5 year old girl that sits beside me in my bench and does her work

I give her an old body and a brush and she has a great time.

she does nor get up untill she finishes painting, she really likes it.

and also she does not get bored sanding ether. Let's see

but I know girls can do it, they just need to know that this hobby

dominated by tetastorone is open for ladies.

I'm always happy to see a Miata build, too. Eventually I hope to build models of the three 1:1 Miatas I've owned. That Tamiya kit is quite accurate, as you'd expect, though as I recall it's a curbside. Best of luck on both builds!

My soon to be 18 year old daughter is a passionate builder and quite the airbrush artist as well. She's been at it for ten years now. Guys in the St Louis and KC area will remember the little ankle biter accompanying me to shows all the time. It got so bad at one point they began referring to me as "the chauffer" for the little darling, as she cleaned up trophy wise. I'd get phone calls asking if Kelcie was coming to such and such show. When I responded that she would be attending, I'd get a response like "GREAT just drop her off Dad".

I couldn't have been prouder.

It's your call but have you thought about post something she has done.

It do'snt have to be perfect and she may get a kick out of it.
