There were presents underneath our tree , the four month old got a lot of presents , all presents this year was mainly for the kids

anyways The g/f got me one of those Scout cx's a little early. I also got a camera

and a new jack and some other cool stuff from the family.. I have to say the neatest thing is the box of models my dad had built in the 80's

I am now tracking down copies of these old kids and I AM determined to build them (I have an ongoing wanted thread of that and a guy found a couple of the kits for me already along with some hard to find decals !

LOL.. I was cruising my LHS and they had nuttin new but a few on the way.

Tough for me to leave one of my LHS empty handed..

Since I'm they only one that does models, the only hand me down model was of a AMT Peerless Log trailer my dad

Well when we went to Christmas dinner at my son's house I scored 1 model! One of my sons and his wife and kids gave me a Mongoose Funny Car model.

He must have bought it at the WalMart he works overnights at! Not the one my wife works they didn't have any, but the one across town. they had a display out there.

Got also a Remington pocket knife, an IH Hat and a John Deere Shirt too!

My family ordered me a subscription to Model Car Magazine for Christmas on Sept. 26, 2011- So I got a printed copy of the E-mail from when they ordered it because the magazine hasn't gotten here yet.........

Most of all I got to go to church and also spend time with family.

My wife got me a few models and an iPod and iPhone. Also got two guns which one is kinda of a model lol I have to stain it and blue the barrel and put it together. Its a Kentucky rifle .50 Cal.

We didn't feel like cooking for xmas so went to a delicious Christmas brunch at a restaurant at a local mountain top resort.

Didn't really get anything modeling related for xmas- some shirts, Macys and Amazon gift cards, some Blu Ray movies.

I have a couple gifts to myself I'm waiting on from eBay, incl. one vintage model.

Today just hung out watching a Top Gear marathon on TV..

My wife also thinks I have way too many models so she won't even think about trying to pick out something for me. Instead she got me a $100 gift card to Hobby Lobby and I can load up on my own.

Dont go until you print out the 40% off one regular item coupon, i have three hobby lobbys around me in a 10 mile radius so you can use it three times in a day here or go back in an hour or so so no one recognizes you. Like today used my hobby lobby gift card on a 1950 ford model was originally 21.99 after using the coupon made it 13.29, makes a big difference, get more for less.
