I love this car.

A good start on the guts of it.

I like to build stage by stage, so the small pile of parts are for the next stage.

Now that's a really great looking start to one of my favorite 70's rally cars... The Alitalia livery and the Martin livery were my favorites... Can't wait to see more...

Nice start. Beware of the warning in the instructions about spreading the body and i may not come off after it's on. I built two versions of this kit. I cut the raear deck loose so i could feed the chassis in through the back and then remount the rear deck. There is no spreading and it comes off if needed. I found it to be a much safer way of building these.

I've built one Stratos from Revell kit. I was installing the body just like instructions say... First time I failed, since half of the parts on chassis got apart. And then, second try I managed to make it, but it wasn't easy.

Anyway-the kit is great, and really fun to build. Keep up the good work, I'll be following, how this turns out. And here's a link to my build (sorry, it's in Finnish, but pictures can be seen. And if you want some details, let me know. ;) ) http://rallimallarit.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=36

The Finnish isn't a problem, because the pictures are excellent and will be a great reference for my build.

Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for the heads up.

Pardon my ignorance, but what do you mean by the rear deck?

Sorry, new at this.

I meant the rear part of the body over the engine from the firewall back. I cut it at the line where the rear would open at. I then added tabs and mountings to re attatch in final assembly. Believe me it's worth the extra work in the end.

Little bit more progress.

I am back at work now, so things have slowed a bit...but need to work to pay for more bits and pieces, especially paint!

Should turn into a very cool model. BTW, these types of vehicles will often make excellent WW3 vehicles, not that you should consider doing that to this one. Cheers, DC

Very good looking interior and chassis. Painting is done nicely, all of the parts look like they could be straight from the Lancia factory. This will turn out as amazing build, I'm sure about it.
