Sport Suburban Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 In the last year I managed to get many builds done this year. Most have not been posted before and I'm sorry that I havn't been sharing them. I have kept myself buist this year working on the 1:1 Chevelle and building these. I managed to get eighteen done this year. That makes it one of my better years for completing builds. Notice that I didn't count all the started ones. I'll start with the Corvette's I did this year. Here is my 2004 Corvette Z06 Commemerative edition built box stock. Here is my 2006 Corvette Z06 built mostly out of the box. I switched the interior tub with the ZR1 to correct the dry sump oil tank in place of the incorrect battery. Here is my 2010 ZR1 convertible. This was the original body with the top cut off and a resin boot put in it's place. I went with a vintage racer theme with this one. Here is my 1967 Camaro Pace Car. This was built from the AMT Z/28 kit. And one last Chevy. 1969 Yenko Nova. This was built from the Revell kit but I did some corrections on it.
Sport Suburban Posted January 4, 2012 Author Posted January 4, 2012 Now for some Fords. Here is a 1925 Model T truck. This was built box stock from the recent AMT kit. This was a quick build. This is another quick build I did. This on is the Gunze Pantera GT5. 1925 Ford Model T AMT Tall T kit 1965 Thunderbird. This is an AMT annual that I restored. 1970 Boss 429 built right out of the box.
Sport Suburban Posted January 4, 2012 Author Posted January 4, 2012 Now on to some Mopars, My favorite subject matter. Revell 1968 Hemi Dart. Slix decals and resin seats were added alond with some corrections. Revell 1970 AAR Cuda. This is the 1995 issue that I did then. I tore it apart for a repaint, new decals and foil. 1970 Sox & Martin Cuda, Johan 71 Cuda with Reliable Resin Conversion and Slixx decals. 1970 Superbird. Revell kit mostly out of the box but with Keith Marks decals and wheels from the 71 GTX kit. 1971 Sox & Martin Cuda, Johan kit with Slixx decals. 1973 GTX, this is a kitbash with the AMT 71 Charger chassis and engine and Keith Marks decals.
Sport Suburban Posted January 4, 2012 Author Posted January 4, 2012 And finally a few AMC's. Both of these started as a few built ups I bought off ebay to restore. 1971 Javelin AMX. Johan restore/rebuild. 1972 Javelin AMX. Johan restore/rebuild.
promo55 Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 Those are nice builds. I particulary like the '65 T-Bird but they all are great! You research your models well, that is part of the fun of this great hobby! Very good work!
jeffs396 Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 Wow, what a great collection of builds for '11! Nice work on all! Luv those Javelins!
promo55 Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 I was just replying to this post when the AMX's came in. What I said about the other cars applies to them. That series of AMX's is one of my favorite muscle cars! Again, excellent work!

You research your models well, that is part of the fun of this great hobby! Very good work! Thanks. I really enjoy researching the subject of my builds. Checking on options and what colors are correct. That is what keeps me going on a paticular project. I'm flattered that it shows. Plus it brings me great pleasure to restore some of these now rare builds. That 65 represents a rare yellow only availible in 65.

That series of AMX's is one of my favorite muscle cars! Again, excellent work! I noticed your first post. My brother has a real 73 Javelin SST 360 car. So I have an appriciation for these cars. I plan to buils models of all year Javelin's so I have my work cut out for me. I purchased about 6 Javelin's on ebay for parts to build these two. I will build a 73 and a 74 with the rest of the parts. The 72 was only a body that I purchsed and the 71 was a Donahue Trans Am car that I used the body parts only. Both of those body's had damaged a pillars that I had to fix.
Greg Pugh Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 Some really nice lookin' stuff there. It looks like a successful year!!
