Lyle Willits Posted May 29, 2006 Posted May 29, 2006 I built this as an excuse to use the resin 429 Ford engine from Replicas & Miniatures Co. of Md. Couldn't use the supplied headers because of frame clearance so I used the headers from the AMT Phantom Vickie. Also used the Vickie wheels. The air cleaners are from a '62 BelAir kit. The "fabric" roof insert was cut from an AMT '34 Ford. The grille shell supports are actually photoetched truck bed rails, also from Reps & Mins.
MrObsessive Posted May 29, 2006 Posted May 29, 2006 Well Lyle you know that Street Rods are not my genre...............but THAT I LIKE! If you hadn't said you built it............it would really pass for a real car!
BIGTRUCK Posted May 29, 2006 Posted May 29, 2006 Great lookin' rod, the heat marks on the headers look super
Wildrice Posted May 29, 2006 Posted May 29, 2006 Nice 32. The details really set it off right. Love the headers. Any pics of the chassis?
Gray Smith Posted May 30, 2006 Posted May 30, 2006 Wow, this is very cool Lyle...I like what you did with this one.. Gray
