I've finished the interior. I know its a tad shinny but I dont have anything on hand to knock that down with. I've been using MM water paints to do all the washes. May have to looking into some flats if I do any more projects like this.

I was talking to a frined of mine about the build and he was comenting that the first thing he would do would be to cut the hood open and bolt it down ( a few to many demo derbys) So out came the ball grinder

TThis shows a little bit of the "battle damage" and rusting......probly due to sitting behind the barn for all those years...

And finaly to the weapons, I had taken me a wile to think of something, but after a little scavaging, I made flame thrower heat shield out of a drive line cover off a nascar kit, and stole tha dark nights fender mounted full auto for the other side. I still need to make the cut out fender cover to mount on top of it to fill the hole when its retracted.

I picked up some screen mesh to do some window panels, but I'm torn between that or steel panels, I just dont want to hide the body lines of the car itself.....I know I know, thats not the hunters spirit..lol,

I would like to take a min to thank Dr. Cranky for puting this out here, Its the first time I've ever done a junker, and I'm having a ball doing it.

I have been working a lot on red hawk, trying to finish swamp runner, and scratchbuilding a body to fit around my enzo chassis(coulda sworn that kit had a body in it, but I have an excuse to apocalyptify it now...) but you guys are gonna have to wait for the eyecandy :P

My glorious interwebz will be back on Friday so I will be rockin out a good chunk of photo posts after work :D

The good doctor got a sneak peak at primer covered red hawk. Maybe if you ask nicely he will share his thoughts on it! Lol.

Til next time.....

As promised, here is a little update on what I am affectionatly dubbing "The Hangman", because sometimes you have to hang them zombies out to dry to get your message across! I'l let the pictures speak for them selves. I scratched up two side tanks. One for the "go-juice" and the other for hydration. As I imagine it, H2O would be in short supply after the apacolypse and it would be wise to keep a large supply hand. The trick is to not confuse the two. I've also started on the body armor as well. There's lots more to come where that is concerned. Thanks for looking!

That highway is freakin incredible Cranky! Pure gold!

I promised myself I would get down to the workshop tonight, and I hope I keep that promise. There is too much eye candy here for me to sit back and wait.....the time is NOW!

Get to it, Jamie. Get some building done.

Tell me about it, Terry. I sit here eating bags of pop corn and never get tired to seeing new stuff and getting inspired.

Wow, just wow. I am with the doc on that bowl of popcorn. I love looking at all of this stuff, and you guys just keep it coming with amazing quality work and ingenuity. Keep it up!!

Erik, this build is just getting more and more beautiful! Great going. The scratch-built details you poured into the chassis and the suspension are springing (pun intended) to life. Wonderful. Thanks for sharing the eye candy with us.

Hugh, wait, my eyes just popped out of my skull. WOW! Those tanks are perfect, and so are the tires, and the whole truck. Just thinking about those tanks gets my imagination cranked up. What's in them? Zombie puree? LOL!

Keep it going.

Thanks, Neal, the CARAVAN is coming together nicely. Could you imagine if we were all allowed to build these machines in real life and then take them on the road.

Gee, maybe that's how Mad Maxx got going.

I guess I am just hesitant to get into it. Going to take it super slow seeing as I don't have a third of the building talent you guys do...lol

Jamie this type of build is easy any mistakes IS THE WAY IT WAS MEANT TO BE! And you can cover it with mud or whatever!! Have fun with it and try something new!!!! PK

Normally I haven't much bench time during the work week, but I took a minute to mock this up.

Here's the basics for my recon truck.
