Sure glad to hear from you Barry. I've followed your builds over on the neighbor's forum. I wouldn't mind seeing you do something here, even if it's a quickie (if there is such a thing).

BARRY, welcome to the FORUM and welcome most certainly to this THREAD. Ah, you are one of Doctor Cranky's Post-Apocalypse model building heroes. Ever since I saw that 49 Merc, I fell in love with your work.

I hope you will join in the fun once again, and continue to share your amazing eye candy with us.

In spirit of being creative, I will be writing a series of journal entries to go along with the dioramas and vehicles I will be submitting.

The entries will be from the perspective of the resistance fighter who pilots the 842 Grievous Wound.

They will encompass his travels through post-WW3 America, encounters with enemy outposts, and remnants of civilization.

...Who knows, he might meet up with one of you in his travels, if you so desire to be included in his story. (just send me a reply in my inbox if you'd like to be written in!)

Got some today. Here are the stars of the show. From left to right are, Silver Bullitt, El Camino, Crosshair Christmas, and Ka-Bam!

Here's the interior. Those are WATER cans not GAS. I hope the crew knows that...

Here's the,"Spurs." I don't know what else to call them. They are used to make sure zombies are dead after you run over them.

And yes. There are two. Thanks for looking.

Here's some more. The bulldozer scoop in the front. It's the roof from a '66 Mustang. I airbrush flames, sanded for wear and tear, mudded, and put blood. Just to let you know, I did copy the blood from Rob but that was a great idea. I am in this to have fun not win.

Here's the chassis.

Here's the decals. The Nazi decals are only on the driver side.

Here's the air conditioner.

Love the splatter . . . the last couple of picks are a little blurry, but I like where your build is heading. Keep it going. I see you got some of that red paint on your fingers. LOL.

Thanks! Yeah, the red on my fingers is from the recoil of the brush. I dip the brush in the paint and use a popsicle stick to flick it.

They are only blurry because they are close.

So it begins. Bring it on, you Toothless Zombie Hunters!

Here's some of my personal inspiration to get you really CRANKED UP!

Did someone say Toothless Zombie Crushing/

PAIN KILLER?

And remember, it doesn't have to be rusty or gunky, it could work if you have a good idea for something shiny too, like this one:

Have you noticed that La sirena is kinda inapropriate???? I play Loteria at school and everyone else noticed that...

Haha, I don't mind copying of my techniques. After all, all techniques come from someone somewhere. If nobody copied a technique, or altered it to make it their own, then there would not be any techniques to be used!

Rodney, this SUV has all the right looks, keep it going. Remember also that well placed weld seams can go a long ways to signify great added parts, etc . . . looks like you are having a blast.

Thanks Cranky. That is one of my plans once I get all 4 done.

That is always the hardesd part, doing it 4 times..

Okay Barry, Quit your posting or I'm gonna get really Depressed and my Doc says that's not good.

Awesome work..

Love them all and a lot of Great Ideas..

Thanks for Sharing.. :D

Yeesh, I opened up the truck last night, and "intimidated" seems to less of a word to use.

I never remember how small these things are...lol. I had put aside some accessories, and all of them were WAY oversized...lol. When a hand gun can look like a cannon on the roof, I need to re-think my build.

At least I have a year.

Do you guys paint the parts before assembly, or after?? I am thinking painting everything while it's on the sprues would make things easier????

Jamie, we all go through the same process. Every new kit is like starting over for me. I build the sub-assemblies and glue them and then pant them. It's an unorthodox method, but it works for me, plus it really gives me a very strong-built model.
