Haubenschild Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 A sad day in the modelers world , their stuff was great
Dr. Cranky Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 That's terrible, but luckily everyone one made it out safe. Hope they stay in business for they've been a mainstay to the railroad model and diorama builders for years!
Chuck Most Posted January 6, 2012 Author Posted January 6, 2012 Oh- and I owe Dave Roehrle a thanks for posting the original link and helping spread the word. As you might guess, Dave uses their stuff quite a bit.
whale392 Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 That will be a blow to the hobby. Hopefully, they will rebuild and continue to offer modelers their fine products. I have countless bags of their goods here, and even more in Florida....great scenic stuff.
Rob McKee Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Glad to hear everyone is OK. I too use their scenery materials for my Model Railroading addiction. They make some great scenery material and even better there scale people.

Joe Handley Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 That's not good, but at least they all got out ok! Last time I went to the Museum of Science and Industry I got to talk to one of the guys that maintains their layout and found out that they used a ton of Woodland Scenics products in the construction and maintenence of that layout. Sudenly I'm beginning to wonder if we're going to have a run on their product at work, I hope Walthers, Great Planes, and Horizon are well stocked!
MikeMc Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 I suspect they will have plenty of cinders ballast....large scale With their market share, they should be back up soon.
Chuck Most Posted January 7, 2012 Author Posted January 7, 2012 From their Facebook page- Thank you for your support and prayers. We are fortunate to have such caring and loyal customers. Because of our thorough safety procedures and incredible emergency support personnel, we were able to get everyone out safely. Although one of our buildings has been lost we are back at work today assessing what needs to be done and most operations are continuing as usual. Thank you again for your support and encouragement.
