crazyjim Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 I assume you're building for Jaxcon, Rob. I won't narc you out.
moparmagiclives Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 I was under the understanding that if the instructions didnt call for it then its not an OOB build, but having never attending an actual contest I cant say. like others have said, who's going to know? Or, is it that big of a difference. But if it will bug you for knowing, then it wouldnt be much different then dipping the seats in epoxy and "sanding" some tuck and roll patterns into them...I think that would be considered modification right?
Danno Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Ethics, character, integrity, honesty ... all refer to the desirable trait of following the rules, doing the right thing even if no one else is watching or likely to notice. Think of how you would feel if your model was beaten by someone who cheated. Just food for thought.
Jantrix Posted January 7, 2012 Author Posted January 7, 2012 I assume you're building for Jaxcon, Rob. I won't narc you out. I am Jim, but not this Jaxcon. I'm affraid I won't be able to make it to Jacksonvile this year. It's just not in the budget I'm affaid. Ethics, character, integrity, honesty ... all refer to the desirable trait of following the rules, doing the right thing even if no one else is watching or likely to notice. Think of how you would feel if your model was beaten by someone who cheated. Just food for thought. Danno, excellent point and one that I have thought about. So as I stated in an earlier post, I'm going to use the part as-is. Thanks everyone for their input, I'm going to go ahead and close the thread now.
