oldnslow Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 I'm working on a companion to my 49 coupe. I'm thinkin' chopped, sectioned and slammed, 37 Ford pickup wheels with wide white big and littles, late model power and maybe a complete interior from a 57. I've already shortened the top by 3/8", filled in the deck between the top and trunk and taken 3/8" off the bottom of the body (lazy man's section job), keeping the wheel wells as close to stock looking as I can. I'm working on fitting the interior to the body and chassis. Well, back to the bench.
Bernard Kron Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Neat idea. It'll be interesting to see a side view once it's up on its wheels.
oldnslow Posted January 10, 2012 Author Posted January 10, 2012 (edited) Got a little more done, up on it's wheels and tires, trying to decide on whites or not. the grill, bumpers are made from the custom pans from the 49 kit. the engine is in place. I've got to get some alcad to redo the chrome. . Edited January 10, 2012 by oldnslow
Bernard Kron Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 Up on its wheels and nice proportions, too! I say whites...
Dr. Cranky Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 That is one classy looking Ford and I think that mill is perfect.
hotrod59f100 Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 Sweet build and what the good doctor said that motor looks great in there.
mrm Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 Great choice of engine. it looks just right so far. Wheels/tires can either improve it or ruin it. Choose wisely
oldnslow Posted September 7, 2012 Author Posted September 7, 2012 Finally got around to finishing this one, it's in the under glass section.
