Jeff Johnston Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 I have about 3 models all finishig at the same time...this one I have been working on since sometime in December. It took me 3 times to be happy with the hood. Paint is Testors bottled Lacquer. I really like that stuff... Whacked off the roof and built it. I bought a modelhaus 70 convertible boot, but it only fits the AMT kit. The Revellogram package tray is actually too short. So, this one of from a 63 Galaxie (oh the shame...LOL). I also tried real hard not to cover up the rear marker lights..gave up, as they cover up with the first coat. It's done up like my friends car. I will give this model to him. Yeah I know the kit engine is a 454 and not a 307 (hahaha). I also could not figure a good way to delete the grille "SS", so I left it alone. I added resin door handles and some photo etch parts from MCG.
Pat Cardz Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 Nice work Jeff! I think it look great! I know its too late but the engine out of the Z28 Camaros would have been close enough to the 307. keep up the great work!!
