James2 Posted February 24, 2012 Author Posted February 24, 2012 Thanks Jim, I've got a lot of body work to do!
Da_Wolfman Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 I was kind of thrown off on the first pictures, but man, this thing looks sick!! I am eagerly waiting for the finale!
Ryan S. Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 This just keeps shaping up better and better. I really like the front end treatment so far, especially the smoothed sides. I like the scoop too. I just pulled that one out of my parts box as well and used it on a build I'm wrapping up. Nice choice.
James2 Posted February 24, 2012 Author Posted February 24, 2012 (edited) Thanks guys, the first couple of pix were the results of a thought I had about a show style truck. I knew it would morf into something else. I think I'm on the right track now. I have a lot of sanding ahead of me! Edited March 1, 2012 by JAMES2
Joker Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 Outstanding chassis work James. The bodywork is coming along nice too.
James2 Posted March 4, 2012 Author Posted March 4, 2012 Thanks guys. Hope to get some interior work going next.
Dr. Cranky Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 Outstanding, you are on a roll with this one. Hope to see more progress and paint soon. Sweet!
John Teresi Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 James......this is a very nicely thought out design......love it.
James2 Posted March 5, 2012 Author Posted March 5, 2012 I'm not sure about thought out, but thanks guys.
rustybill1960 Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 Flying by the seat of your pants makes it all the more rewarding James!! Looks SUPER, Thank You for sharing Later Russ
Beavis Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 yes, thank you very much for sharing, love it. we need more pictures tho lol!!
James2 Posted March 11, 2012 Author Posted March 11, 2012 Thanks for the interest, I've been scratch'n up some interior pieces. I'll be using the T-Bird seats and adding the rolls on the door panels also. I thought of the T-Bird dash, but by the time I cut it to fit, there just wouldn't be anything left. I'll try the truck dash.
James2 Posted March 11, 2012 Author Posted March 11, 2012 Thanks Ira, I went ahead and did the rest of the door panel.
James2 Posted March 27, 2012 Author Posted March 27, 2012 Just about ready to paint the interior, door panels, headliner and floor are scratch made. The dash is from the truck kit, just added some rolls. And the seats are from the T-Bird. I shortened and spliced the rear bumper also. The body just needs a little fine sanding. Thanks for the interest.
puddingwrestler Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Very nice. I like the way the lines sweep down then curve up from the bonnet panels all the way through the cab to the T-Bird read.
Dr. Cranky Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 The interior panels are sweet. Very well done.
