Dr. Cranky Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 John, I keep coming back to pour over these models. I truly think you should consider doing a photo album of all your builds, from the very beginning, or maybe consider having some photo archive somewhere . . . just a delight to think these are all scale models. I hope our paths will cross so that I can enjoy your work in person.

Burnout Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 John, your work is truely unbelievable! I'm at a loss for words. I too think an album (or museum) is in order. I attended the NNL West a few times (2003-05) when I lived in the area and I'm dying to get back. Will you be there next month? Because if yes, I've got the best reason yet to make the trek. Thanks for sharing and keep 'em coming! KB

Dr. Cranky Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 You are welcome in the Lab-RAT-ory any time. I hope you really do consider building something for the Post Apocalypse thread. I'm sure the other Zombie Hunters over there would love it if you did. I know I would. Would love to see how your imagination would just go wild with that type of build!
TheCat Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 John, Just AMAZING builds. I love every single one. If I have to pick one as my favorite, I must go with the Rolls Royce. By the way John, How do you get that chrome paint look on all of these builds? I love it!! What paints and or what's the technique?
Hippie Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 cool man, more then one per month thats pretty amazing, It would be great if you could join the Post Apocalypse build, bessides based of this track record you can build one over the weekend

By the way John, How do you get that chrome paint look on all of these builds? I love it!! What paints and or what's the technique? Felix.......many techniques for alclad paint........mine may not be the right way ........but, it works for me.......I use PPG epoxy primer .....then H.O.K black with a clear coat over that....... then I shoot the alclad.......the best results is a very very gloss black before shooting the alclad.....and allot of sanding.......thanks.
A.R.C. Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Absolutely incredible!!! Easy to say that those are some of the most amazing build I`ve ever seen. I saw your coupe, the first pic you posted, on some car blog a while ago. I honestly thought it was a 1:1 rod the first time I saw the picture. If I hadn`t read the caption saying it was a model I would have never guessed it.
Dominik Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 (edited) speechless, thats what i am, if i look on your builts. Speechless...to take a favorit? No chance John...they are all ....cant find words for it. Edited January 17, 2012 by Dominik
