Austin T Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 We all have at least one kit with a subscription notice for the Mag in it.What ever happened to it,I've seen parts packs and kits from them. Also was it any good?
randx0 Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 the blueprinter was an in house newsletter put out by amt ertl when they were selling kits.it was only three or four pages some tips and propaganda and once in awhile a special offer which you could only get via the blueprinter.
Ben Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 When it first came out it was from the ERTL company and concentrated on their current kits at that time which were semi trucks, farm equipment and International Scout vehicles. It was cool back then but after a while it disappeared. It came back again later and featured cars and trucks from AMT and ERTL.
Art Anderson Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 Blueprinter died with the termination of Karen Anderson in the middle 1990's.
jaymcminn Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 AMT should definitely bring this back. A quarterly glossy publication with tips and tricks and special offers? a "Kat from AMT" Kustomizing contest? Sounds right up Round 2's alley!
Eshaver Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 Maybee I should submit a resume to the folks at A M T ........... Ed Shaver
Guest Johnny Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 Blueprinter died with the termination of Karen Anderson in the middle 1990's. Family? I had the old original Blueprinters. The one from 1975 especially because I had bought a transtar II from KMart and discovered it had been painted and partially assembled and resealed I guess by the store! When they refused to make good on it I stuck it in the closet and forgot about it until that issue of the Blueprinter came. I used their instruction and made the SD daycab! Unfortunately it was destroyed by my then 6 year old brother-in-law and his 10 year old brother after they found my models that were being stored in their garage.
Dave Van Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 Ohhhh....the days of Karen and John.....I guess we have John and Tom now......but neither are as good looking as Karen......I thought it was Karen Sands though?????
