66' FAR-LANE

Hi all,,heres a true basket case,,started out as a freebie at a NNL show,,1/4 assembled,,no tires/wheels..crappy paint lob,no mtr. So I hand built the chassis,,roll bar,,mtr out of the leftover part bx. shortened the rearend,added drag slicks,,ect. Hand made wheelie bars,parachute in back,,made new glass for it. And used leftover decals from various sheets. It had 4 coats of paint on it,,had to hit it with 10 cycles of eazy-off oven cleaner to get it down to bare plastic. Its a AMT ERTL kit I believe,,Cheers!

That is a beautiful save. I like the wheels on it. Not your average, but they look good on it. Great job.

there goes a nice freebie,, in the hands of a master would make a handfull of plastic look like a diamond, great work, love those rims . you got me some inspiration for some that i have in my leftovers.couple of more pics would have been app.

I just received my amt 66 fairlane kit, i cant wait to start it. i just wish i bought the 427 one and not the gt/gta

Great save, my friend! Ain't Glue Bombs terrific? I have more fun rebuilding them than I do building fresh plastic!

Wow,,thanks guys,,,Im seeing alot of really great builds on this site here,{not so much mine}but man ,,love to see so many still into building models in general,,I couldnt live without it! I dont always have alot of time to do it,but when I do,,I enjoy every minute. All the best to ya in 2012!
