crazyjim Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 Finally getting something completed. Here's my latest chopper in HOK wild cherry.
crazyjim Posted January 26, 2012 Author Posted January 26, 2012 Thanks, Cruz. I need to do something on the left side where the horn would normally be located. It just looks bare. Maybe I need to look at the instructions? These bikes are fun to build. I have 5 or 6 of them waiting. My mind is telling me to try a drilled, curved up tube but it looks like I'd have to stretch the bottom of the frame and extend the front a bit.
randx0 Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Nice bike Jim ! I have a few of those that I need to build.
moparmadman829 Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 love the bike!!! mine never turned out that nice...
Cool Hand Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Another excellent chopper build Jim. Cleanly built, very well detailed, paintwork is tops. The chrome accent strip on the sides of the tank is cool feature.
crazyjim Posted January 26, 2012 Author Posted January 26, 2012 Thanks Randy, Thomas, Jeff & Luke. I'm telling you, these bikes kits are fun. The chrome accent is derived from using a round file to cut a groove and then a cutoff wheel to make a cut in the groove and then gluing a strip of Evergreen. After painting & polishing, the strip was covered with BMF.
Terry Sumner Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Jim...what base color was the Wild Cherry applied over? Silver? Gold? Something else?
