sjordan2 Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 You, too, can have your own working roll-up windows (If you buy a Pocher kit or the 1/8 XKE).
moparmagiclives Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 You, too, can have your own working roll-up windows (If you buy a Pocher kit or the 1/8 XKE). Does'nt Mr. Obsessive do it in 1/24 scale on alot of his builds
Chuck Most Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 You, too, can have your own working roll-up windows (If you buy a Pocher kit or the 1/8 XKE). Meh.. you expect such yawn-inducing features in a Pocher kit.
Harry P. Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Meh.. you expect such yawn-inducing features in a Pocher kit. Yeah, no big deal. I mean, in kits that include operational cloth convertible tops and real springs in the seat cushions (yes, they do!)
Rob McKee Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 I give the gy credit for working on it for 10 years. I would loose interest and move onto something else. Hence the 10 - 15 models in various stages sitting on my bench now. Truely incredible though.

59 Impala Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 To get clear windows in wood, first you have to sand with fine sand paper starting with 1500 and ending with 40000 grit. Then you use NOVAS polishing kit and polish it, and last, you dip it in Future floor polish. The end result-----------ta-da, clear glass from wood. Dan
pepperdrumstix Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Just when you think you have finished the best model you ever built and detailed the motor and interior and the paint is nice and all 4 tires touch the ground and you lean back and mentally pat yourself on the back thinking you just built a contest winner, along comes a hand- built, one of a kind model like this that you can hardly believe. And it's made of WOOD!! Oh well, I know there are builders out there that can devote the time to a project like this and I say "great, more power to them." Keep up the fine work. Stunned and reeling by by this truck, but still building. Patrick
