1:12 scale parts

I have been researching and currently Ive found a few things for multiple scales. Im looking for parts in 1:12 and ive been looking on ebay mostly. Reason is I want to build another 1:12 mustang detailed out. Lambo doors, sound system etc. Looking for scale braided hoses and just about anything you can find. As for wheels I dont want to be paying just as much for the wheels as I did the kit. Are there any suggestions on where to look? My next stop is Scale Dreams.

Im not 100% sure on what Im going to do with the build either... But here are some of my choices

Street Racer decked out, or subtle sleeper

Weekend runner

Or just plain jane

Are there other parts in 1:12 scale for Ford and some universal

Such as

Engine

Seats

Sound system

Screens

Fuel Cell etc

For wheels and tyres, you can check out the RC model suppliers. They are nominally 1:10 scale, but some are so large, that you could make a Donk out of a 1:12 model with them. There is a huge selection available.

Thank you for the replies, I have another source I had dismissed for rims. If they are still in business, its called ride makerz and they have offset with large in the back small in the front. The Larger wheels are really close to 1:12 just have to rig something to make them stay.

Yea, Ive got 3 mustangs the new camaro and picked up a vette the other day for $2 at the goodwill. I like customizing mine, One Im about to put through primer and all the engines Go under the hood.

Toys R Us cariies many of those parts for the Cars movie line of toys. Most are too toy-like to use on a non-caricature model, and the tires aren't realistic, either. I bought a set of the Goodyear racing slicks and they'd be great for a 1/12 NASCAR build, but not much else.

Most of the 1/12 scale stuff is going to be in the exotic car realm- Testarossa, Countach, etc. Fujimi (?) made a 1/12 Skyline you might be able to use some parts from.

As Christian said, some 1/10 R/C car parts can be used, but expect to do some modifying. Page through the R/C section on eBay to get a feel for what's been made and to see which parts you may be able to use.

I've had success with Scaledetails for well over 10 years. They are in Georgia and on Ebay.
