No, it's a 2006 Roewe. The Rover 75 ended production in 2005.

The Chinese company bought the assets of the defunct Rover and the car is "based" on the Rover (or in plain English, a copy). However, the name "Rover" was already owned by BMW at the time, so the Chinese company couldn't use it... so they came up with "Roewe."

True, but when the MG group bought the company, they made a few last 75's together with their Z7 MG, it had a V8 and was available in 2006

On this past sunday Topgear UK show, they did a piece on how China is "stealing" other car company's cars design and just renaming them. China has two of their own cars that they are making, dont remember the name of them .

I think it was BMW they said during the piece, tried to sue and lost in a China court.
