Stephen H Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 I have not been able to find a good selection at the 2 or 3 LHS around me here. I was wondering if you guys buy your paints online mostly and the best places to get them online if you did? Once I get the hang of my airbrush or maybe a better airbrush I will be better of but going to use spray cans 1st. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Monty Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 It might help to know if you're using enamels like Testors/Model Master or lacquers like Testors One Coat or Tamiya's TS series. Also, when you say "best place to buy" are you looking for the most comprehensive selection of brands? Lowest prices? Sometimes those are mutually exclusive.
Old Sprinter Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Stephen, I buy most everything from Hobbylinc.com . They have tons of supplies, paint, tools, whatever and their prices are within reason. They are a little slow shipping but I usually get my stuff within a week so you just plan ahead.
Ramfins59 Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Hey Monty, can you do us older guys a favor and enlarge your FONT size A LOT so we can read your posts without using our Optivisors... Thanks buddy.
Cato Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 http://www.scalehobb...php?s=3&t=1&u=1 Price, selection, service-all excellent.

I am just getting back into modeling after 15 years but I think I am going to try Tamiya's 1st. I know prices will vary some but would like a place that has the largest selection. crazyjim Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Use the airbrush and then order paint from Coast Airbrush.

Thanks buddy. I'm not sure why it changed since I've never played with the font size. According to the option list, this is size 12. Any better?
