Joker Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 Modified a Maisto 1:24 FL Panhead Harley Davidson Motorcycle as a tag along for a 1948 Ford Coupe. The most obvious features are... painted the white walls - modified the seat-Duplicolor paint to match the car. baby blue paint with black seat is untouched original James aka Joker
Bartster Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 Scoot looks great, I'm working on the same bike! I'd love to get more, any idea where?
Joker Posted February 13, 2012 Author Posted February 13, 2012 Found them at the CVS pharmacy of all places..weird. So I got two and was tempted to pick up 3 more.
jeffs396 Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 Nicely modded HD James! Looks great with the Ford! Bart, all the Hobby Lobbys in my area usually carry these Maisto HDs...
Dr. Cranky Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 Excellent dynamic duo of builds. The color is very nice.
jerseyjunker1 Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 sweet now all you need is a trailor for the bike in the same color. great job.
rmvw guy Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 I like this idea. I've seen them at Hobby Lobby and have two so far. The modifications look great! I've been considering this myself for a while with no kits available. Maybe a Chopper in the future?
george 53 Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 About 15 years ago, Franklin mint offered 24th scale Harley's. I got about 10 of them (the ones I liked) at about 48 bucks a pop!!! NOW Maisto comes out with THESE, at about 3 bucks a peice and man are they NICE for the price!!!! Oh well, good things come to those who wait. I shoulda waited!!!! (I STILL like mine more though )
Bartster Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 Found them at the CVS pharmacy of all places..weird. So I got two and was tempted to pick up 3 more. I bought the only 3 they had at Wal-Mart 5-6 yrs. ago. 2 were '48s,1 was a newer soft tail springer. I used the springer forks, wheels & disc brakes on 1 of the panheads & apparently lost the other one. I like the way you display the 2 together to show what you've done. Really cool! The Ford is awesome as well!
Joker Posted February 13, 2012 Author Posted February 13, 2012 Thanks y'all.. @ Bartster ...Try Amazon ..type in Maisto 1:24 1948 Harley Davidson Panhead
Austin T Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 I saw at a recent show where a guy stretched the frame and put two P-47 engines in it.Man that bike was epic.
