Digging through some old boxes, came across this one I started a while back. Picked it up already started w/the body painted. Modified the suspension to drop it on these 26" wheels. Also removed the running boards to help the flow of the lines.

Now to decide whether to repaint it. There are some scuffs and other flaws in the paint, but I like the color. Glass is made from blister pack clear plastic as the original was missing.

Thanks guys!

Do I keep the current color or find something new? I've recently found how to thin and spray Folk Art acrylic. Lots of choices there. Might try finding the same color or go totally new.

Just picked up some metallic amethyst by Folk Art at Wally World. The peridot metallic that I sprayed on my 49 Ford went on nicely so I'll give this one a shot. Time to get out the 1000 grit paper and go over a couple of spots lightly, then get a primer coat of white down and some final color. Hope to have this done in a few hours. Then I should get back to my Vette and Ford! Can you say ADD? :D Stay tuned!

Had a problem w/the color coat. Knew I should have tossed that batch I mixed up w/it congealed on me. Apparently mixing Folk Art metallic in to some isopropyl and then adding Future doesn't work. Must add Future, then color, then alcohol. Luckily the paint washed right off. Time for more primer and more waiting.

New color. More Folk Art acrylic. Need to sand out this coat and maybe toss down 2-3 more, sand more and then clear. Should end up a little deeper purple.
