I'm gearing up to start getting a kit for the contest and was wondering what everyone else is thinking about building. I've been thinking the new Monogram 64 GTO or 68 Firebird because I know it will be different from all the other mustangs, tons of mopars, and novas and camaros.

So what are you going to build?

I just still can't believe the 64 Ford Fairlane wasn't included it definitely a muscle car, unlike the 68 Mustang that is eligible and the 64 Impala.

I could get into this.

I love firebirds as well and I have a 68 Firebird sitting right in front of me. I do like the 70 Firebird though, I will give that one a go. I just have to find one now.

I am very tempted to enter although I haven't done a car in years. The Mustang GT is tempting, but I probably won't do it for this as I prefer doing the Bullit Mustang instead of the standard boxing. The 68 Charger is a possibility as either Blade's 68 Charger or the bad guys ride from Bullitt (also a black charger). But, admittedly the COPO Nova has me tempted to build it and do something a bit silly (I'll let you know what it is if I do it).

I am considering a '70 Mustang. Drew up some designs a few years ago that I wanted to do and then this contest comes along with the '70 in it. If I can get my other two contest builds done by their deadlines, I should be able to thrash one out...

I'm having a hard time making up my mind, I see a lot that dont strike me as muscle cars, but havent seen one that does. I'm leaning to one of the two chevells, the cudas and challenger just go to gether too sloppy with out alot of work and I'm trying to pick something simple to finish and enter in the box stock catagory. I've got a wile before I can get anywhere near a hobby shop anyways.

The reason that the '64 Ford isn't included is that it is not in the current Revell catalog. All the kits listed are in current porduction.

I'm glad they allowed Canadian Modellers to enter. I do have some questions,,,,, do you have to purchase one of their kits in the time period provided and would you have to show proof of purchase or can you use one that you bought while ago.

Cheers

I would just use one you bought a while ago if you have one because I don't think you have to show proof so they would never know really
