Ira Posted April 18, 2012 Author Posted April 18, 2012 DETAILS, Details, and more details... I Drilled holes in Don's Helmet so I could insert Straight Pins to look like Chrome Snaps. I glued them in with Zap-A-Gap and cut off the excess Pin.
Ira Posted April 18, 2012 Author Posted April 18, 2012 (edited) PUTTIN' On DON'S FACE... I painted Don's Eyes with Model Master Graphite Metallic. Then I painted his Teeth with an Acrylic White Primer. After the Paint Dried, I painted "The Detailer" Black in all the creases and depressions in Don's Face. I punched out 2 Circles of Blue Masking Tape. Then I positioned them as Masks for Don's Pupils... End of Part 1... Edited April 18, 2012 by Ira
Bartster Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 Hey Ira, beautiful work on Don! Wondering? Would his pupils look more "reptilian" as vertical slits rather than round? Of course, round would humanize him? Just thinking.
Ira Posted April 19, 2012 Author Posted April 19, 2012 Nice tongue! I never thought I'd ever have to say that here. Thank You Dr.!
GrandpaMcGurk Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 Lookin' good Ira....he definitely has a "don't tread on me" attitude!
Ira Posted April 19, 2012 Author Posted April 19, 2012 (edited) Hey Ira, beautiful work on Don! Wondering? Would his pupils look more "reptilian" as vertical slits rather than round? Ira Posted April 19, 2012 Author Posted April 19, 2012 (edited) PUTTIN' On DON'S FACE!!! Part 2... I Googled Cobras and I found the Cobra Eyes, perfect for Don. I painted Don's Eyes with a coat of Gold, followed by a coat of Metalic Amber. Next I painted a Yellow Ring around Don's Pupils.... I applied more of "The Detailer" Black aound the Eyes & Teeth. Then I applied a few coats of Glosscoat. Don's doing a Test Fit Today. It's a tight fit but Don likes it that way! Edited April 19, 2012 by Ira

Now I can move the Tounge in to positions without breaking the glue bond. I'm looking for a Mouth for Don.........Found it! Red Felt cut to size works Great! Here is the Felt in place! Done!
