Dr. Cranky Posted February 21, 2012 Author Posted February 21, 2012 Thank you, Marcos and Tom! I appreciate it.
Dr. Cranky Posted February 22, 2012 Author Posted February 22, 2012 Well, my friend, I got the bug real bad so I am working on another one of these Cobras. I should have some pictures up soon. Stay tuned in, and thank you for the comments. I appreciate them.
Dr. Cranky Posted February 22, 2012 Author Posted February 22, 2012 Thanks, Ira, the next one is already in paint and I am waiting for it to gas out before I cut and buff it, shine it up real good. Stay tuned in for progress.
Dr. Cranky Posted February 23, 2012 Author Posted February 23, 2012 All right folks, these puppies build up beautifully and very nice. All the chrome is a bit of a pain, but if you take your time, you will be rewarded with a nice model.
Dr. Cranky Posted February 23, 2012 Author Posted February 23, 2012 Thank you, Dirk. I appreciate the kind words. I'm going to finish a couple of 41 Willyses I have on the bench, but I might come back and one more of these Cobras before April rolls around.
bigphoto Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 That green is awesome it reminds me of the green on some of the old Hot Wheels cars of the late 60's early 70's!! The pearl orange is great too!!
rv1963 Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 Both cobras are awsome but i really like the green paint you custom mixed very cool, can't wait for number 3 will it be shiny to.
Kustom Rodder Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 Doc your on a roll dont stop keep it going. The green does have the spectraflame quality that was used on the early hotwheels it is killer !
jaymcminn Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 The metalflake on that green looks perfect for a late '60's drag car. Great builds!
Romell R Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 Wait a sec ..... Who is this imposter? ..... These cars are all shiney. Wheres the rust and dents and cannons and post war stuff. I demand someone check this guys ID this cant be Dr. Cranky! But great job Mr. Impostor!
moparmagiclives Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 Great builds Dr., Where did the slingshot decal on the doors of the green one come from?
Ryan S. Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 Both of these turned out great. I think I'm going to have to pick up one of these kits eventually. I've always liked the Cobras. I like seeing them in some atypical colors too.
Dr. Cranky Posted February 24, 2012 Author Posted February 24, 2012 Thank you all for the kind words. The decals are from a wonderful set of decals that Slixx put out. I just ordered a few more sheet before they close shop. Rom, don't worry there will be more rusty vehicles. You know the stuff runs thick in my blood.
shucky Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 Dr. Cranky those look amazing! The green one is absolutely stunning. I'm buying those DVD's from Mr. Yost ASAP.
