JR Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 I am looking to moderately customize the Magnum. Looking for advice on new wheel/tire combo. Thanks
Gregg Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 I love all the Aoshima wheel/tire combos they have. I think they are 18 and 19 inchers. Search through Hobby Link Japan http://hlj.com for them. Some are out of production, but you might be able to find them on eBay or eModelCars
Darin Bastedo Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 I saw a 300c kit done up with the wheels and tires from the boyd coddington issue of the AMT 32 Ford. Painted up right they have a very close resmbance to a big inch magnum 500 wheel
Len Geisler Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 I am going to give mine an AAR Style paint job with the AAR hood purchased from the 'Bay. Sublime Green paint with some Pegasus 19/23 Centerline wheels, maybe finished in some shade of Alclad????
Zoom Zoom Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 Whatever you choose for wheels, they need to be BIG. Those are huge wheel openings to fill. Pegasus 23's are almost too small (unless they have the larger diameter tire). Someone on another board suggested Revell Honda Civic tuner rims.  They'd look about the size of brake rotors on a Magnum Even Aoshima 19's look a bit puny on the model. I think the Pegasus 23" T's would look pretty good.
acura99 Posted June 10, 2007 Posted June 10, 2007 hello http://www.modelexpress.net/cgi-bin/modele...tml?id=7YHFIwLv
Gregg Posted June 10, 2007 Posted June 10, 2007 Pegasus just sent me a whole bunch of new rims. I will try to get a pic up. Some look like the Aoshima-style ones Chrome and gold some are two piece very nice

1320wayne Posted June 10, 2007 Posted June 10, 2007 I used a set of the 19" Aoshima wheels. They fill the wheelwells pretty good. I believe these wheels are even on the list shown above.
Gregg Posted June 10, 2007 Posted June 10, 2007 Here they are, well, most of them The top row rims are two-piece The bottom row are not.
