jerseyjunker1 Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 this is a diorama i did for brian dunning owner of west coast precisiond diecast a few years ago.the car is a franklin mint 1/24th scale 1936 cord cabriolet. i totaly rusted the car to look like years of neglect living with the chickens on on an old farm.i aged an old gas pump and loaded the car with all kinds of garbage. the land / chicken coop are scratch built. the hay is grass from the lawn mower that i let age in the sun. i always keep bags of that for simular uses. (again ) these are horrible photos as they were done with a bad camera and the dio is gone now so i have no way to get better shots.hope some like it.
Dr. Cranky Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Wow, I find it amazing you can do that to a diecast. Love the scene, buddy. Nice work, although the pictures are a little blurry.
GTMust Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 It's a great dio..... but a shame you had to destroy a Franklin Mint. The Pyro/Lindberg 1/25 Cord would have desereved this fate much better.... LOL! Tony

David G. Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 You have a talent for gritty dioramas. Excellent work on this one too! David G.
crazyjim Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 I don't care for rusty & crusty but you did a fabulous job on this dio.
