hippie6 Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 I'm sure this has been asked before but I'm gonna ask it again. What are you guys using to clean the mold release from the resin bodies/parts ?? I went to Wally today and they had no Wesley's Bleach White. Did I miss something, or does Wally just not carry it? I've got a bunch of Flintstone bodies that I want to build. I'm unemployed so I have the time.... no more excusses!!
JamesW Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 (edited) If you got a Dollar General or a Family Dollar down there one of them should carry Wesley's. I got mine at the DG up the street. The Walmart here carries it too. Edited February 29, 2012 by JamesW
Mike Kucaba Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 Well then I'll repeat it again. I have used Super Clean or Purple power on resin with out any ill effects. And yes I used it on all the Flintsone resins I have and that's a bunch.
mikemodeler Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 try Oreilly's Auto parts store No, NAPA is a better place! ( I am biased as I work there!)
monkeyclaw Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 Just buy a can of Prep-Sol already! The commercial grade automotive De-waxers work like nothing else....Matt
crazyjim Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 Wesley's Tire Bleach is no more! You may find some bottles around but they're old. Black Magic bought out Wesley's and is putting the product into their packaging.
Chuck Most Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 Wesley's Tire Bleach is no more! You may find some bottles around but they're old. Black Magic bought out Wesley's and is putting the product into their packaging. Same formula, though. At least the Black Magic Bleech Wite I bought looks/smells/cleans the same as the Wesley's always did. They might change it somewhere down the line, but for now it's the same stuff.
