At the Holiday Inn in Taunton, Mass. on March 18th..... the annual show from the boys in the MassCar model club. Good show...lot's of vendors. I'm not 100% sure if I can go because that's my 60th birthday and I don't know what the family has cooked up for me that day. But I'm going to try to go for a while at least. Here's a link to the show flyer....

I have to be there....I'm the secretary!

Look for the Canon FD and Sunpak 600. My sweetie will be there too a little later after she comes back from church to help run the kids' stuff with me.

A Canon FD???? You're using film??? Wow Charlie...and I thought I was old fashioned! I have a small digital but I still like to use my Mamiya RB67 medium format camera sometimes...

I'm using the FD because Dad's Sunpak doesn't mount on my newer camera (Pentax SF-10,) or his Nikon N80. I also like the completely manual control I have with the lighting in that hotel. My dad loves his Mamiya 645 and his twin-lens 120/220 Mamiya, but I don't remember the model number off the top of my head. I've used the 645 a couple of times- very nice camera.

Mike- hope you can make it. If not, hopefully NNL. My offer for a ride-share still stands if the schedules cooperate.

The twin lens is a C-330...I used to have one that I did weddings with back in the early 80's. I loved it because it was so quiet with that leaf shutter. But it was too hard to reload it quickly when you just couldn't miss a shot. That's why I went with the RB. With those roll film backs I could change to a new roll in just a couple of seconds!

Well one thing's for sure...you will most likely be the ONLY one there with a Canon FD!!! :D

I will be there, always a great show with plenty of vendors and the competition is strong. If you are in the area on that day I would definitely recommend this event. It is first class all the way and well run.

Looks like I'm going to have to miss it. Found out my family is all getting together for a luncheon at 1 PM that day for my birthday.....

So what's so great about celebrating your 80 third birthday anyway ? Although I do have to admit , you look pretty good for a guy who sat behind Moses in second grade !

How unfortunate.

I'm doing everything possible to make sure I make it to NNL-East, Terry, so if you'll be there, keep an eye open for me.

That's okay Buddy...I can take it. As long as you don't start comparing me to Larry King! Bwahahahahahaha...

Unfortunately I'm going to miss NNL East also. I have to deejay a wedding that very day!

I'll be there, if for no other reason but to make fun of Doug Estabrook.
