JTRACING Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 Hi guys, finished this up tonight, I added a little bit of weathering to the AMT kit.
Zoom Zoom Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 Wow, that's so realistic I can almost smell the rust
bsoder Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 admit it; you've been in my backyard! More fantastic eye candy James!!
RJWood Posted June 16, 2007 Posted June 16, 2007 Great work JT. your "little bit of weathering" is fantastic. I wish you could do a tutorial for us on your next weathering project. perfecto.
novadose71 Posted June 16, 2007 Posted June 16, 2007 Never thought I would say this but, that rust looks awesome.
Matt T. Posted June 18, 2007 Posted June 18, 2007 James - "Is that Ford for sale?" Old Codger - "Nah...I'm gonna fix her up someday." Great diorama! I really like that disentegrated tarp on the roof. All the weathering is just right too. Kudos, James!
Rob Posted June 19, 2007 Posted June 19, 2007 Excellent! That is one of the best weathering jobs that I've seen. You make rust look great!
Yad' Posted June 19, 2007 Posted June 19, 2007 I'm going to weigh in with a Very Well Done too! A most excellent little cameo, I've always admired this type of modelling, although never tried it yet - and yours makes me want to. Some I've seen could be described as a touch clumsy or over the top, but your's is so right. Well observed and just enough - very believable. Once more................ Well done, Yad' Ps............... I'd like to hear how you achieved the rust effect too, also the relationship between the rusted and painted areas - just how did you achieve that realistic transition?
