Somebody got a Paasche H series airbrush the other day and I mentioned a thumbscrew fitting to replace the set screw. Actually, you need to replace the set screw with a longer one. I bought the thumbscrew at Lowe's because Home Depot didn't have them.

This is much easier & quicker to pull apart and clean the parts.

I don't remember, Art. I took the airbrush with me to Lowe's and matched the AB to a set screw and then to the thumbscrew. The set screw I bought was about 3/8" long.

I used Loctite on the setscrew into the thumbscrew. Was it red or blue? I think red - the permanent kind of Loctite.

The quick disconnect is a fantastic add-on. They're made for kinds of airbrushes and hoses with adapters for different brand airbrushes to a different brand hose.

Alright!! Thank you Doug. I wasn't trying to steal your idea - just passing it along. Thank you again for the tip. It's become one of my most useful pieces of equipment. Me and search on this forum don't get along very well.

LOL...you're welcome!

I've noticed that it doesn't work with the glass bottle paint cup though, only the small chrome cup. So when I use the glass cup I have to revert to the old setscrew.

The difference must be that I have the HS. Quick disconnect is a necessity. Sometime our local Hobby Lobby has them in stock. Coast Airbrush always has them.
