Looking pretty good. I've been putting throttle linkage on my builds but can never get a decent, close up pic. basically I drill a hole in the carb(s) and glue in a piece of wire. Over the wire goes a #1 bead crimp. The linkage arm is made from flat Evergreen with 3 holes drilled in it. Center hole over the wire in the carb. One hole for the cable going to gas pedal. Other hole is for the return spring that's made from Radio Shack wrapping wire. If multiple carbs, I use the same procedure but use a piece of wire tie from bread to connect the 2 linkage arms,

Wal-mart sell the clear and transparent red 30# test fishing line.

" carburetor " okay doing the detail master way won't work for me........can't manage the parts

they're too small for me too work with.......so I'm going to wing it

using a wire brush.....cut off a couple bristles to use as posts for linkage then primed.

The problem that Bugs me is (DIP STICKS) not being put on regular Street Machines, Race Cars that's okay, but Daily Drivers to me is a NO NO!

I was into 1/18 Die Cast Cars, GMP being one of the larger Companies and one of the more Costly, never put (DIP STICKS) on their Cars.

Just my opinion!

It's going to be shame to put that engine into a build. It looks so good.

the fun part will be trying to wire it in...............

Clear tubing for a fuel line would never cut it on a real engine. I have seen people use red fishing line to replicate the lines from a fuel log/mainfold to a multi-carb setup (say, three Stromberg carbs) on a vintage/period build, but steel and rubber are much more realistic for an engine such as this.

Here's an image of how the fuel line departs from the fuel pump on a 1:1 Pontiac:

Really great looking engine ! I have 1 suggestion . Re-think the size of the fuel line . A 1 : 1 line is a minimum of 3/8 " ( 10 mm ) diameter . Some hi-po applications are 1/2 " diameter . The 1 : 1 plug wires are usually 7 or 8 mm diameter , some are 9 mm ( still smaller than 3/8 " ) . In your photos it appears the fuel line is much smaller than the plug wires ! The photo Casey posted is a good example of how they should look .

Keep posting photos . It looks great .

I tried looking for red fishing line but couldn't find any that wasn't expensive.....believe it or not but the fishing line I used is green....not sure why it looks clear :(
