I started this one in 1996 and finally completed it in 2006. It is based on an original 1972 issued AMT kit T817 Autocar DC Dump truck and 1996 issued Revell kit 7634 Kenworth W900 Wrecker. The Autocar cab was moved forward, hood shortened and interior modified for engine clearance. The wrecker body fit perfectly on Autocar chassis. Front bumper is modified part from the Italeri Scania Bro wrecker kit. Color is Testors yellow and orange covered in clear pearl on cab and wrecker body with Testors bright blue on chassis and towing boom.

Hey anyone know which model that was out a few years back of a triple axle wrecker that they wanted like 250 bucks?! Which I thought was nuts but everything worked on it.

Are you referring to the Revell Can-Do Wrecker? It was an expensive one ($100+, but not $250!) and was a triple axle rig. I don't think it is currently in production but can be found. Unless there is a kit from Europe I am not aware of, the Revell kit is the only one in recent memory that was a triple axle.

That is a nice combination of Autocar chassis and wrecker body. I like the color combo too. Just wondering if this kind of bumper was ever to be found on any Autocar...

Anyway, nice build.

The triple axle wrecker on Peterbilt 359 (should be 379) has many functional parts. But it takes a lot of work to make them really working. Out of production for now but with recent wave of reissues one never knows...
