Sixx Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 I just finished this on Saturday morning, just in time for a LHS contest I used an aluminum air cleaner & distributor, pro-tech wires, resin Milodon valve covers. Scratched a throttle return spring & linkage, used some cool fat rear tires, and a rear-end from the Revell 32 coupe, ladder bars from the Willys drag coupe. I entered the contest, won 1st in auto. not bad, comments welcomed Sixx
Sixties Sam Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 Oh, yeah! That's cool! Great color, nice engine detail, clean! Sam
Sam Cates Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 AWESOME! That looks GREAT in every way, what color is that?
Sixx Posted March 19, 2012 Author Posted March 19, 2012 AWESOME! That looks GREAT in every way, what color is that? First off, thanks for all the feedback! That paint was Testers "green go" right out of the can! then a 2 part clear
ChrisR Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 Looks good. Wheels suits it better than the kit wheels.
crazyjim Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 Very nice, smooth, and SHINY :) . Congratulations.
Dr. Cranky Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 Love that color and the smooth clean building skills really saw this one through to the winner's table. Wonderful job.
Duntov Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 I have always liked this kit and you did a good job with it!!! Regards Bill (Duntov)
Sixx Posted March 19, 2012 Author Posted March 19, 2012 Thanks everyone!!! Yes it does need a wash on the grille, not gonna monkey with it now tho. still looks cool!!
Sixx Posted March 19, 2012 Author Posted March 19, 2012 Looks good in that color and the wheels and tires are a big improvement. The grille seriously needs a blackwash though. Those tires ( rear ) are some big fat rubbery resin parts, I think they were from competition resins? wheels came from the Revell 32 ford kit
rustybill1960 Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 SWEETNESS! and I really like that "GREEN" Man!! "chiba chiba" Thank You for sharing Later Russ
W-409 Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Yeah, we need more pictures of this beauty. Chevy is looking very good, that paintjob is smooth and Shiny, I also like the engine detailing. Valve covers are great, maybe I need to pick one set of those.
