@Kanedge - Thanks. Well, I can´t say the weathering is based on a specific photo or so. I´ve seen some pics/videos and used my imagination to come up with this result. If you search for "East African Safari Rally" on YouTube you will find some nice videos (though low-res). These cars were really dusty :)

@Linetex - Thanks. It´s a matter of taste, I guess. As I wrote before, I think it takes on a more realistic and interesting look. It could actually benefit from some dents & scratches as well.

Thanks for all the kind comments :) .

@Aaronw - Yes, I plan to make something out of that base. Nothing fancy, just a simple roadsection. Even if you keep it simple it will enhance the total impression quite a bit.

The weathering was great fun, actually. In my opinion, it makes the car look a lot more "alive". I also build AFV´s and on those models the weathering is really the final touch.

The Hasegawa Stratos seems to be a great kit of an awesome rally car. Are you doing a WIP on these models?

I figured you would, it will really add a lot to the finished model.

I sort of have a WIP of the Stratos in the Back on the Bench CBP

Not real in depth, just enough to show I'm still plugging away on it. Not much done recently due to a move.

@geetee66 - Thanks.

@Aaronw - The Lancia Stratos is one wicked rally car. Your model looks really good, hope to see more of it in the near future. Btw, the #8 ´75 Stratos (Safari Rally) was driven by the swede Bjorn Waldegard.

Allready from the beginning I planned to do something out of the oval base - and here it is. A small piece of landscape that, I think, adds a bit more life to the model.

Stefan, great job on the 240Z Safari car. I have done Tamiya big car as BUT built it as a local car wot we call a State Championship Club car and not to rain on U'r parade I thought I'd put t up here to compliment U'rs and to show the guys the difference between a Safari car and a Club car but a clean before the rally starts car. Hope U like it Stefan.

@hotrod59f100 - Thanks, glad you like it.

@Dingo - No worries :) , there is allways room for another 240Z. As much as I like American Musle Cars & Hot Rods, the 240Z is a car that I´ve allways liked. I think i began when I saw the Tamiya 1/12 model somewhere around -73. Thanks for the nice comment.
