hellonwheelz3 Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 So sad to hear about grumpy. Condolences to his family. Does anyone have info on Carroll Shelby?
FASTBACK340 Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 Grumpy was the opposition in the Pro Stock ranks, but you have to acknowledge innovation & success. RIP to a true legend in the sport. Did I just hear Ronnie Sox fire up his Barracuda in anticipation of a certain small block Vega coming to annoy him?
Bill Edman Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 A legendary hero loved by all no one will forget his contributions to the sport or to peoples lives!!! God speed and our prayers go out to your family (null)
deja-view Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 (edited) I have some of his diecast "Toys". But I could reallllly use some pics of the engine in his '69 Camaro strip cars. I believe he had both prostock and something else. I'd like to build some tribute versions of those if I can get drivetrain and interior pics. Edited April 3, 2012 by deja-view
rmvw guy Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 I remember him most from his '66 nova. I watched him run in a NHRA event in Muncie, Indiana and talked to him in the pits. Another time in Indy at the Nationals. R.I.P.
ffreak Posted March 30, 2012 Author Posted March 30, 2012 I have some of his diecast "Toys". But I could reallllly use some pics of the engine in his '69 Camaro strip cars. I believe he had both prostock and something else...and a yellow Yenko. I'd like to build some tribute versions of those if I can get drivetrain and interior pics. A google search will bring up lots of pics of his cars. And if your on facebook, search Bill "grumpy " Jenkins and there's a treasure trove of pics of his toys.
