Well since I have seen topics on what we drive, who we are, what we look like, why we chose our forum names, etcetera etcetera etcetera...

How about the rest of the family? I say we get a topic going on who the rest of the family is, including pets of course.

I'll start off

My wife Michelle, daughter Whitney, and son Ronnie

No kids, but these are my two rambunctious Weiner-Dogs, during a rare idle moment in their second-favorite place... on the back of the couch. Their favorite place is in the chair with me... Gus is the black and tan Dapple, He's 4 years old and Sweet Pea is the tan, she is almost 9.

My wife and I have a bunch of animals.

dont want to hijack the thread with pictures of all of them.

I do have a couple of really cool dogs though.

Eva is 2 1/2 years old now. she is a terrific dog.

a wicked guard dog, too:

Yes. she is a pure german shepherd. smart as they come.

I wanted to get her bred, but just couldnt seem to find her a boyfriend.

there wasnt a german shepherd stud around here.

So, we went and bought one.

Otto is almost one now. his birthday is 1 April. the perfect April fool.

a 140 pound fool, And about as great a dog as I have ever been around.

We have lots of horses, barn cats, and endless wildlife around here.

But these two are my favorites. easy to train, very intelligent.

and extremely watchful of the place.

Here's my two "babies".

Sarah (the one with fewer appendages), is in her final year at UNC studying to be an art teacher. Her biggest difficulty is that she looks younger than her students.

Audrey, my 6 month old Brachypelma Beohmi, is on a mission to rid the world of crickets.

This is the newest addition to my family.

DSC00071-1.jpg

We got him about 6 weeks ago.

DSC00094-1.jpg

Unfortunately he turned out to be very sick, (bad seller/breeder). And also taken prematurely from his mother.

DSC00036.jpg

But we were lucky enough to get him the hospitalization and treatments he needed and saved his life. He fought for almost two weeks and won the battle. (Note shaved forelegs where he received several I.V. treatments.)

He was down to just 4 lbs. 6 oz. Now he is this big… Maybe 18 lbs. and full of energy.

Mark, you made my day with this story, nothing makes me feel better than someone going the extra mile to make sure a beautiful pet like this is taken care of, you have my full respect and admiration. Of course, your models are bad ass too!!

Mark, I'm very glad your buddy ended up in the right home! I'll wager that your investment will pay rich dividends...a true friend is priceless.

Awesome, good to see you guys keeping this going, it is always great to know and see the families who put up with the insanity modelling brings with it. Love all the pets especially!

He is a Great Pyrenees. They keep Coyotes and foxes out of the sheep fields. He is bigger than me it is a good thing he likes me. Our other two are not quite as big. The funny thing is they are all afraid of thunder and go hide in the barn.

What an adorable pup! Glad to hear you were able to help him make it through the tough times. Now that he's safe and secure in a good home, he'll pay you back double with loyalty and affection. That said, you should still keep your modeling room locked when you're not around.

Actually, he sits at my feet in my shop and my drawing room (or on his pad in the machine shop) and is being schooled as to what he can and cannot have. And he has his own safe areas so if I drop anyting he won't get hurt, (and I have time to grab it before he does). When he was about 8-9 weeks old he tumbled into a box of spares and sprues and did not like it at all. That seems to have worked to make him not like styrene. The worst he has done is to mouth a cotton glove liner and chew an unneeded decal.
