what to use for 1/8 spark plug wires?

any tips for what to use for 1/8 spark plug wires, i was thinking a small guage electrical wire but i dont have anything in the shop smaller than 20 and that looks to big. any ideas on a guage of wire that would work or something else?

Take a look a telephone wire. It may be a little small, but close.

If you consider plug wires to be approximately 1/4" in diameter, for 1/8 scale, that comes out to just a shade over .030". Lots of phone wire is about that diameter with the insulation.

If the car is 1:24 .30 gauge wrapping wire from radio shack will be perfect. Ours has white red and blue. I just bought some.
