I was finally able to complete my Nova. It's finished in HOK purple with some of those magic Pearl Ex powders mixed in the first clear coat. That's a Reliable Resin street tub chassis in the back end. The wheels are finished in that ginsang powder stuff. The engine has a Fatkidd style distributor.

Thanks, doc. This Nova was delayed until I got the MT Sportsman tires from Ma's Resin. I usually have 2 to 4 builds going at a time. On the bench now is a '99 Silverado (HOK Limetime) that'll have a matching trailer, a '64 Falcon (HOK cinnamon), and the street Trantula. What to do with the front end is kicking my butt.

Thanks again to you and Donn Yost for turning me on to the Pearl Ex powders. I'm lovin' that stuff.

SHINY :) :) :) RULES!

The wheels are from VCG Resin ( and are very nice). I brush painted them with Testors gloss black enamel. When dry I took a Q-tip and applied the ginseng powder to them and buffed with a flannel rag. I was going to Alclad them but the rears are so deep it's difficult for me to get a decent finish.

The ginseng powder came from HWjapan or whatever the name is. Me & George53 got together on an order.

By the way, those VCG Resin wheels fit Ma's Resin (Al Raab) MT Sportsman tires almost perfect. Al now has inserts that fit his tires perfectly and you can put almost any wheel center behind them.
